George & Decker

Organized by Coastal Boxer Rescue

Monday Update
Wish we had better news to report this morning, but George wasn't able to overcome the abuse and neglect his little body endured over the past few months. Our vet decided he had suffered enough and he passed on to the Rainbow Bridge around 10pm last night. He will never be forgotten by any of us here at CBR...he was the worst neglect case we'd ever seen.

Decker continues to warrior on...he's a fighter and that's exactly what he needs to be! He stood today and was able to spend a few minutes outside in the FL sunshine. The next step is to get a catheter inserted to help with fluids, but his skin is so swollen from the demodex it's impossible! His kidney function aren't great at this point, but we're hopeful he'll continue to hold steady.

We're devastated at the loss of George, but we will do everything in our power to make sure Decker lives the life every dog deserves. From here on out he will only know the kind touch of a human's hand and will want for nothing. Please continue to pray for Decker.
Sunday Morning Update
We don't have very encouraging news from the vet's office this morning regarding George. He's in an extreme amount of pain and the vet will make a decision later today on a course of action. He's very unstable at this point, so I'm not sure what's going to happen this afternoon. Please pray for this little dog...I will never understand people and how they let a dog get to this condition without doing something to help. Please continue to share his Chipin link.

Decker is doing a little better than his brother. That's good news, at least. I'll update more this afternoon.
George & Decker
It's a new beginning for two horribly abused puppies. New beginnings bring new names, so we're proud to introduce George & Decker.

Both brothers were dropped off at MDAS this afternoon and their "owners" requested they be euthanized. Shelter workers immediately called CBR and we went to work getting them pulled and to our vet's office for some much needed medical care.

We'll have more information on them once our vet checks them out, but for now they're safe and we promise to make sure their lives are only filled with love and kisses from here on out.
